Sharing My Scar Removal Journey – a Story about how Skin Revival

I believe most girls are like me, bothered or even annoyed by the scar on the body, but like most girls, including me, wish to be silky in our appearance and mind the minor difference by this type of marks. We may be able to turn away our attentions from the little ones, but what about the very obvious scars by traffic accidents? The bike-crash scars are sometimes raised or swollen, and so noticeable even after it is healed.

Around 3 years ago, I fell and tripped during a scooter ride. The injury eventually healed but the slightly raised scar remained, which was quite noticeable to my appearance. After some serious thoughts, I had decided to search professional help from clinics specializing in aesthetic medicine or cosmetic surgical treatment that can take care of my bike-crash scar. Like those who are new to this kind of medical specialty, I began my search with Google to select the ideal clinics, and I took my first-try at a clinic nearby my place. I also bought some of the scar removing gel at drug stores that were highly popular in the market, but none of these worked out as I had expected them to be. It seemed like my journey to remove the scar would take longer than my original plan. In the mean time, I also tried to seek advices from my friends and hoped for extra inputs.

The scar I suffered by traffic accident does not go away by PRP or Fraxel Laser treatment like ordinary ones. Finally, a doctor with certain degree of reputation in the field (actually my friend referred me to the doctor) recommended NICE Clinic. As the doctor implied, NICE is not operating in large scale. When I took my first trip to there, I found there was a another competing clinic right across NICE, and I mean “competing” because there seemed to be quite a lot of customers around. So it was a smart idea to “shop around between the two”. But the one with quite a lot of people around actually turned me off instead.

The moment I stepped into NICE, I was getting myself comfortable. And the reasons? First, the price was reasonable, and the doctors and the staff were patient about the concerns I raised during the consultations What’s more, they did not show any attempt to do any “hard-sale” on me. The voice inside me at that moment advocated me that no more “shop-around” or further consideration was necessary. We set up appointment date for the treatment right away, and the journey started to go on the right track (I had already pictured the “me” before that accident at that moment).

I was not feeling in pain during the surgery, except the anesthetic injection in the beginning. It was like stitching with the dermis like a wound by cut, and then further stitches with epidermis, kind of reminding me the double-eyelid treatment. I was anxious if it would explode during my workouts.

My recovery stage was running smooth, and the stitch was covered with gauze right after the surgery so it didn’t hurt. I made sure the stitch had absolutely no contact with water and I regularly visited NICE to reapply medicine for my wound. I also stick with a normal, healthy routine (I had no problem walking around).

I was advised to stay away from frozen desserts, seafood and fried foot like fried chicken and it could be more painful than the surgery itself. Well, just 7 days and I will be free! Around 2 weeks after the treatment, I just needed to apply commercial gel, available in drug store everywhere. As advised by the doctor, I started to apply the gel from the wound, just a slight layer. This recovery stage continued about half year.

Three months later, once the stitches were removed, my skin surface looked fine and flat. I couldn’t see that slightly raised part of my previous scar anymore. I continued my recovery efforts, like applying gel and sticking to healthy routine. To avoid pigmentation, I went back to NICE to have laser treatment, and the leg hair was also removed.

I have to again credit NICE for the help they have done to remove the scar that had distracted me for times.

The link below is the website of NICE, and I am sharing this for those who are suffering from the same problem as I had.
